I don't know about you, but I get tired of typing in all of those WWWs and
dot coms.... It can get so monotonous. I wish there was a way to get
around such a tedious task.
Well, there is a way. If you are using a current Version of Internet
Explorer (and of course you are) then you can save you fingers the extra
steps of typing in those annoying Ws and dot coms.
As an example, if you wanted to get to Google (which is the best search
engine on the web by the way) you would have to type in the www.google.com
(Thank goodness we don't still have to type in the entire address. Not so
long ago, you'd have to type in the http:// part too. I know, it's getting
better, but I'm lazy! OK?
OK, now, if you have a current version of Internet Explorer, you can
simply type in "google" in the address bar and, while holding
the CONTROL key , hit
the ENTER key. WHALLAH! The browser automatically adds in the www and the
dot com part of it. Remember, it has to be a dot com or it wont work. It
will only add dot com... no dot orgs or anything else.. But what a
nice tip eh? No more triple-dubs or dot-coms... I love it!
